they/them, 5'4, Afro-Cuban, "why the hell do you need to know my age?"

Excerpt from a foremasthand's journal aboard the Azoth:

"...Then there's High-Low-Jack[...]the details aren't clear by any stretch of the word, with most information coming from Fidel after he's had a substantial amount of alcohol, but the version of the story that seems the most likely is that Fidel, Jack, and Luis all came from the same cacao plantation in Fernando Po1. For differing, equally ridiculous crimes, the latter two had been deported to the island from Spain. Jack's case is a particularly interesting one[...]Though I don't know how exactly Jack got to Spain in the first place, being Cuban themself (and they certainly make any information about themself scarce), they've proven to be yet another core member to our disheveled crew, despite their apparent distrust for anyone aboard sans their two friends and their generally biting demeanor. Luis claims that they got their nickname from a perfectly-timed High-Low-Jack game in Fernando Po that lead to their escape from the island, but I have a feeling it is simply due to their tendency to (and, unfortunately, proficiency with) cheat in every game, never losing as long as I've known them..."
